Hair drying can be yet another contributor to hair loss If we don't do it right. One example is when we towel dry our hair.Women are generally more careful of this and simply wrap the towel around there hair and leave it but a typical male thing to do is to aggressively scrub there head like there polishing a shoe,It just seems common place when you have short hair as most men do. This will lead to frizziness and hair breakage, Just think what else this kind of friction every day is doing to your scalp. Might I add that hair is much more sensitive to damage whilst it's wet.
The solution is to do as little as possible. If you have short hair it is better to simply flick your hairs lightly to get the worst out then simply run the towel through your hair carefully or just let it sit on your head. Really if you have short hair you need not bother at all to dry it as it doesn't take long at all to do it on it's own.
With long hair you can squeeze the water out very gently making sure you grab the base so your not tugging on your scalp, or you can do it wet dog style and give your head a shake. After, Grab the towel and just run it down the shaft of your hairs until it stops dripping. Key is to pretty much aim for using the towel as sparsely as you can saving as much friction as you can. Your hair is gonna still be damp so it's best to leave the rest up to nature, Of course not all of us are willing to go out to work in the morning with a head looking like a used mop so for those people it's probably better to shower or wash your hair the night before.
Hair dryers also need caution. Heat damages hair. There are sprays which can be used to prevent this but if you wanna go chemical free or your on no-poo you want to avoid them completely.
Personally, I love the look of wet hair.
