A good way to maintain follicle health is to massage the scalp. This will stimulate blood flow to your hairs roots making them stronger as well as relieve stress which of course has been known to make hair fall out. You can do this yourself on a regular basis but if you decide to get a professional to have a go it would be definitely more beneficial. Get in there and start gently rubbing, kneading and applying some pressure to your head getting that blood flowing. Oils can also be used and it is said that they can make hair more resistant to damage but I wouldn't advise if your on no-poo as I for one know oil is extremely difficult to wash out with just water.
You can do this whilst washing your hair so there's no need to set aside any extra time, just be gentle. You may also notice on hairbrushes that the ends of the thistles are round. These are there to stimulate the scalp so keep this in mind next time your brushing.

I have given this thing ago. It's hard to fit these things into your day though. I just seem to forget to do em.
