Nutrition is probably the most important aspect when it comes to hair health, after all your hair is a representation of your overall health so it makes sence that to take care of your hair you gotta take care of you. From what I've learned, hair is made up mostly of protein therefore lack of adaquate amounts is going to result in breakage. I for one know from experience a few months prior to now when I had a total disregard to what I ate my hair was split end city and people noticed it big time. Seemed everytime I caught a glimpse of a single strand I had a big ugly snake tongue staring me in the face. After a few weeks of eating well, and I was consuming a lot of protein I did see a visible difference in my hair. It just looked softer and well .. healthier. Splits eventually became harder and harder to spot as my hair became stronger and less brittle making me so glad I didn't succumb to silly shampoo treatments which I've read only seal the ends. The lesson here is whatever you eat is eventually gonna flush out of your skin wether it's good or bad, so a good diet will enrich your scalps natural oils with good essential nutrients so make sure you have a balanced diet. A cliche I know but once again the saying reigns true "you are what you eat".

Yeah I take that, good for the nails too. Zinc is just good for everything, You gotta take it in moderation though as too much can give you deficiencies in other minerals.
